How much do tickets cost?

• 3 day pass (whole event) - £50
• Weekend - £40
• Friday - £30
• Saturday - £30
• Sunday - £25

Children aged 16 years or younger can have free entry, and any attendees under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

How do I access the web app?

How does the bring & buy work?

1. enter your games in the web app including all the information you like
2. once the convention opens, go to the bring & buy desk with your games and ask for labels for your listings.
3. take your strip of labels and stick each label on the appropriate game
4. go back to the bring & buy with your labelled up games and ask to scan them in
5. once the volunteer team has scanned in your games, they'll put them on the shelves for people to peruse. The games will also appear in the app for other people to see.
6. the app will update you on the status of your bring & buy listings if they are sold
7. when you're ready to leave, go back to the bring & buy sale, find any of your unsold games, and bring them to the volunteer on the desk explaining that you're ready to collect everything
8. they will scan out each of the unsold games and give you the proceeds of any games that have sold.

Note that the bring & buy system takes a 10% cut of each sale rounded to the nearest £1, and that listings can't be edited after they have been scanned in by a volunteer.

Is there parking at the venue?

Unfortunately our venue can't provide parking on this occasion, but it's very walkable from York train station, there are good bus connections, and there's a good selection of car parks around York. The nearest car park is Marygate.

Will there be merch?

Yes! We have a mug which gets you a discount on hot drinks all weekend, and a gorgeous pin!
Both are available from our ticket site.

Can kids come?

Yes! Kids are welcome at YBGC. Anyone aged 16 years or younger will be issued with a free ticket. Anyone aged 17 or over will need a paid ticket. All attendees under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Can I bring my dog?

No I'm afraid not. If you have a service dog please get in touch via the email address below.

What are the food options?

There will be a variety of food and drink options available at the event, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options. More information will be available closer to the time.

What if I buy a ticket and then can't come?

Tickets can be refunded up to 7 days before the event. After that, tickets are non-refundable. Tickets are not transferable - the named buyer of the ticket must be present at the event. To refund your ticket go to our event page and click "Manage tickets" in the top right.

Will there be access tickets?

There will be a limited number of access tickets for people who are disabled, unwaged, pensioners, or otherwise needing it. We won't check your eligibility, so this is purely done on an honour system. Please get in touch via the email address below to access these tickets.
Carer tickets are also available free of charge at checkout.

What if I need quiet time?

There is a chillout room available for anyone to take some time out. Additionally, there is an outdoor space available at the venue if you want to be outside and stretch your legs.
