The Playtesting Zone

Are you a game designer? Would you like to try out your new game with a range of people? If so, register your interest at the York Board Games Convention Playtest Zone. You're welcome to register for as many playtesting slots as you wish throughout the weekend.

Playtesting Schedule

For each playtest slot that you book, we ask that, if you are able, you make a suggested donation of £5 per slot to YBGC’s charity collection. This will not be monitored, and collection boxes will be available at the YBGC information hub.

You can sign up for playtest spots using the form below. These are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

While playtesting, we invite you to erect one floor-standing banner next to your table , and you're also welcome to place flyers on your table as long as you don't actively distribute them to attendees of YBGC.

Eligibility: to showcase at the playtest zone you must hold a ticket for the day(s) on which you are playtesting.
Restrictions: in the playtesting zone you may not trade or sell anything.
